Walk Report July 10
Thursday morning was cold and wet but 10 intrepid people braved the elements to complete a very enjoyable walk. Apart from some rain at the beginning, it was clear, and not too cold if we kept moving.
From the rotunda in the Botanical Gardens we made our way to Strawberry Glen Lane which soon became a single file track through some pretty bush land. This opened up to a very attractive vista of hills to the south of the Midland Highway. We continued walking mainly on unmade roads which had become impassable to cars due to the rain and then back to the Gardens via the Fasham Rd track and some suburban streets.
Coffee was enjoyed at Espresso Depot and we were all glad to have taken on the challenge. Often if the weather looks a bit grim, it can be surprisingly enjoyable to get out walking.
